2 beautiful homes to visit- Check out the details below!
$5 entry fee per person will be collected as you enter each garden.
Victoria’s Garden 254 Bank St, Harwich Saturday, July 12, 10am-2pm
“Victoria’s Garden” is a garden with sweet memories and letting nature determine where to place things. Surrounded by conservation land with a creek in the distance and land etched by time and weather, this 9+ acre yard has many interesting areas with surprised findings. Look for the Foglove blown from another part of the yard and settled into one of the natural valleys. Many different species of Hydrangeas surround the yard interspersed by Dogwood and Wild Flowers. Although this garden has only been a labor of love for four years, it is progressing quite nicely and is being tended by the homeowners to reflect the beauty of their 1848 historical home. So all you new gardeners out there do not lose hope!
Seashore House 15 Beach Road, Harwich Saturday, July 12, 10am-2pm
As you pull up to the “Seashore House” with the view and smell of the ocean within eyesight you realize you are in for a real treat. This oversized Cape with a white fence draped with roses welcomes you as you walk up the driveway. A Japanese Red Maple sits in the front yard with Rhododendron and Hydrangea clinging to the beds in the front of the house. As you circle around to the back yard you are welcomed to mature plantings of various species of Hydrangea, Red Twig Dogwood, Flowering Magnolia and Viburnum that encircle the yard. A center island of annuals, Hydrangea and bird bath balances off the yard perfectly.
Thank you!
A special shoutout to our sister non-profit, “Garden Club of Harwich,” for sharing these two beautiful home gardens for your enjoyment.
